It is with immense joy that I extend a warm welcome to each of you as we come together to celebrate the spirit of our choral program at River Bluff High School.

Our singers in Bel Canto, under the outstanding guidance of choral director Heather Wilcox, stand as a testament to the excellence we strive for.

We are honored to showcase the distinctive talent of the ladies of Bel Canto and invite you to witness their remarkable performance. Their collective achievements have elevated them to an outstanding status, a source of immense pride for our institution.

Under the adept leadership of Heather Wilcox, our students have consistently achieved remarkable success year after year. The past two years have been particularly noteworthy, marked by numerous accomplishments that speak volumes about our program's dedication to musical excellence. Many of our students have auditioned and secured coveted spots in the SCACDA Honor Choirs and SCMEA All-State Chorus. In 2021, we were privileged to be the featured choir in the SCMEA Virtual Conference as well as the SCACDA Conference. That year they also achieved first place at the Worldstrides Onstage Virtual Heritage Festival, earning the prestigious Gold 1st Place.

At River Bluff, our guiding motto, "Work hard. Get smart. Do good." resonates in every facet of our high school experience. Upholding high standards for students and faculty, we embrace innovation, creativity, and collaboration as integral elements of our academic, artistic, and athletic pursuits. The intertwining of these domains forms the foundation for an extraordinary legacy built on hard work and excellence.

Our choral program, embodied by the remarkable achievements of Bel Canto, exemplifies the dedication to these ideals. As we gather to celebrate, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contribute to the vibrancy and success of our program.

Wishing you all the best as we collectively revel in the spirit of our choral program, where our spirits truly soar.

Sincerely,
Jacob Smith III, Principal
River Bluff High School
